I am an Artist in Residence at The Piano, 156 Armagh Street, Ōtautahi Christchurch. I am also an Itinerant Music Teacher at Rangi Ruru Girl’s School and St. Andrews College.

My YouTube channel. I have begun to post more frequently on my YouTube channel to demonstrate and speak about singing. In particular, the shorts.
I am only getting started so the long form content is a bit of a waffle as I get used to speaking to the camera but you may find some value in the channel if you wish to start singing.
My training is in the Old Italian Style of Singing (17th to 19th) which I then morph into crossover singing. Here is an example of one of my original songs written about the GFC of 2008.

Workshop with Opera North – Whangārei, New Zealand 2025
I have always had a bit of tension in my voice which meant that I tended to lose my voice from singing. Deborah helped me with techniques to loosen up and relax my voice when I sing. Also she helped me to produce a more natural tone and encouraged me to do more vocal improv which I loved. Additionally, she helped me to be more harmonious with others when singing by learning to listen and focus, tuning in with others. Thank you Deborah for helping me be more confident in my singing voice! (Sienna, 15 years old)
