I am an Artist in Residence at The Piano, 156 Armagh Street, Ōtautahi Christchurch. I am also an Itinerant Music Teacher at Rangi Ruru Girl’s School and St. Andrews College.
Voice
2026: Lessons at my studio (The Piano) on a Monday are full for 2026. Please email me if you would like to be on the waiting list. Lessons at my studio are an hour in duration; I do not teach in half hour blocks.
Rangi Ruru students: Please sign up using the school’s Jot Form. I teach on Tuesdays during school hours only. Lessons are half an hour long.
StAC: Please contact me if you would like a lesson at StAC (Wednesday to Friday). Lessons are half an hour long and are held before, during and after school.

Workshop with Opera North – Whangārei, New Zealand 2025
I have always had a bit of tension in my voice which meant that I tended to lose my voice from singing. Deborah helped me with techniques to loosen up and relax my voice when I sing. Also she helped me to produce a more natural tone and encouraged me to do more vocal improv which I loved. Additionally, she helped me to be more harmonious with others when singing by learning to listen and focus, tuning in with others. Thank you Deborah for helping me be more confident in my singing voice! (Sienna, 15 years old)
